If you have previously completed a basic obedience course with us you can  progress to the Elite and Masters courses. Please email for available dates.
Courses are not suitable for dogs who have shown aggression without prior assessment.

Intermediate obedience- Elite Award

 

- Loose lead walking with distractions

     - Recall around distraction

     - Stay (2 minutes)

     - Leave/food refusal

     - Vehicle control and safety

     - Meeting/Greeting

     - Wait/stop (beginning the emergency stop)

 

Games/Play

 

• Go Round (send dog to run around an object and return)

• Send Away (send to bed or place)

• Find it (Introduction to scent work)

• Position changes (sit/down/stand/finish while moving)

• Heelwork (moving, pace change, turns)

 

Extra Resources 

 

• How dogs learn

• Problem solving (what to do when it goes wrong)

• Body language and awareness at a higher level

• First aid, symptom recognition, health checks and dog health record to fill in and keep for reference.

 

8 week course. 45 minute lessons per week. Max 6 dogs per class.

Advanced obedience- MASTERS AWARD- Suitable for dogs over 12 months old. 

 

- Loose lead walking- off  lead

     - Recall around distraction

     - Stay (2 minutes and out of sight stays)

     - Emergency stop

     - Send to bed

     - Heelwork and obedience course (Heel work turns, pace changes, positions and distance work)
